Welcome to the Toronto Bonsai Society "Discussion Forum."

This forum is designed for members of the Toronto Bonsai Society who are interested in sharing their experiences, trials, tribulations and successes with other members. The forum provides the opportunity for you to express your bonsai ideas and reactions. It allows you to respond in kind to the postings of others, thus creating a more immediate medium of feedback and helpful suggestions. Ultimately it is my hope that the forum will stimulate participation of our membership, and thus enrich everyone's bonsai experience.

The discussion forum is not the place for individuals to post their pet peeves, perceived slights or grievances. Instead, it is designed to to be another tool to make our bonsai experience more successful and to foster the fellowship for which our society is known. It is a neutral meeting ground that will reflect our shared enthusiasm for our hobby.

No doubt the forum will experience some initial growing pains as we get used to this way of sharing our ideas and supporting one another. Please be patient; it will no doubt take some time to iron out any of the problems we may encounter and for all of us to experience this new way of communicating about our trees.

Your executive is very interested in making this forum a success, and with that in mind, has devised a number of rules and strategies that should make it a success:

- Keep it positive. If you are responding to a query share your experiences and try to be supportive and helpful.

- Critiquing is different from insulting and flaming. This is a club board, so please be respectful of other members and please use your real name as your identification.

- Offensive material is prohibited. Information posted to the forum will be screened before it appears in the forum - you should expect a day's delay before your post appears.

- Please remember that this forum is for’ÄÝindividual input and opinions, and may not be the opinion of the’ÄÝToronto Bonsai Society.

- The Toronto Bonsai Society is not responsible for the content of this discussion group nor any results which might arise from following suggestions found here.’ÄÝ
